Bridport FC Ladies manager Lianne Dunk reflects on her first season as manager

Bridport FC Ladies manager Lianne Dunk reflects on her first season as manager with a 3rd place finish in the league winning 6-0 in the last game. "What a way to finish a very impressive season. Clean sheet, 6 goals, and some really lovely football. We had one aim and that was to win. They all worked hard and the standout player was Georgie; she never stops running. With it being my first season in management, I didn't really have any expectations. I thought we'd see how it went and then build on it next season. The ladies really showed up from day one, and with some guidance, they have really shone. After the first couple of games, I realized the potential and started pushing them. We introduced rules and guidelines and made sure everyone took it seriously. Look where it's got us, third in the league. We knew we didn't want to go up this season; we want to build on what we are creating. I wanted to challenge the girls, so I told them I wanted third. That's what we worked towards. They've been incredible this season. The dedication and hard work paid off. They deserve all the credit they get. So thank you all for making this a season to remember, and here's to the next one."
