Bridport FC Hosts Legends Day to Honour Former Players
Bridport FC will celebrate its rich footballing history this Saturday, March 22nd, with a special Legends Day, welcoming over 70 former players, managers, and coaches back to St Mary's Field.
The event coincides with the club's home league fixture against Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police, with a Legends Reception taking place from midday. Supporters will have the opportunity to meet former players, hear their stories, and celebrate their contributions to the club.
Among the distinguished guests is Terry Cotton, believed to be the oldest player attending. Cotton, who played for Bridport FC between 1978 and 1980, had an illustrious career, making 415 appearances for Yeovil Town in the Southern League and playing in the Football League for Swansea City. He also represented Wales at amateur level and later served Yeovil Town as a youth team manager, assistant manager, and in hospitality.
Bridport FC hopes fans will turn out in strong numbers to mark the occasion, show appreciation for past club legends, and support the team in an important league fixture.
