Update Relating to the Abandoned Match vs Ilfracombe

Regrettably, today's match between Bridport FC and Ilfracombe Town FC was abandoned due to a severe injury. On behalf of our players, officials, and supporters at Bridport Football Club, we would like to wish Riley all the very best in his recovery. We thank the players and officials of both clubs who assisted Riley and helped prepare access for the emergency services. We would also like to acknowledge the Charity Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, and its critical care responder who was able to quickly administer specialist pain relief. We understand that Riley was transferred to Barnstaple Hospital last night to continue his care. The club took the decision to donate the full amount of money from the 50/50 draw to Riley and the referee also donated his match fee. It's times like this when we come together as a football family. All the best Riley.
