Men's 1st Team vs Middlezoy

The game began with both teams battling for possession, with the few chances arguably falling Bridport’s way. Luke King hit the post, while Sam Fisher had a couple of efforts on goal. However, it was a lovely interchange between Fisher and Riley Weedon that broke the deadlock, as Riley drove into the opposition area and fired a shot through a crowded box to find the net.

In the second half, Euen Joyce doubled the Bees’ advantage, reacting quickest to an early attempt and firing home.

With just 10 minutes remaining, the game became increasingly frantic, with five yellow cards shown. Two went to the Bees, including one for Voss, who was sent to the sin bin.

Despite the late disruption, the Bees held firm and won a free kick in the 88th minute. A cleverly worked set-piece moved the ball wide, catching Rovers’ right side by surprise. Riley curled home a superb finish to make it three for Bridport and complete his brace!
