Match Report
Bridport started the match with strong intensity and excellent ball retention, with both teams probing for weak points early on. We created plenty of chances and came close to scoring several times. The link-up play was much improved compared to previous games, and our efforts were rewarded in the 42nd minute when Harley Brook delivered a beautiful cross that Isaac House finished with a volley, giving us a 1-0 lead.
At the start of the second half, Cullompton came out with higher intensity, putting us under pressure, and their equalizer came in the 58th minute. Despite this, we managed to regain control of the game, and in the 78th minute, Riley Weedon finished a long cross into the box, putting us back in the lead at 2-1.
The game remained evenly matched, but Cullompton didn’t give up and continued to press. Unfortunately, a defensive error led to a free kick, and Cullompton scored directly from it. It was a great goal, to be fair, and the match ended in a draw.
